This is a great poem with. It asks some very good questions. And if faith is the wave, then where does it go and how many other shores (or lives) does it touch?

Adewpearl: Excellent words for faith with giving your heart as greatest treasure. Every breath we take is a miracle of faith. God knows our plans and course. Well written.

An interesting question. How many of us even realize that whenever we act without first considering what might happen or go wrong that we displaying faith. Many people, especially young people don't think they have any faith, but the truth is we all have faith and we all display it in many different ways. You have opened a can of worms with this one Brooke.

Really like the rhyming in this: " destination, hesitation & measure, treasure" just sounds good. Yes, I believe it's all in the heart. A simple message, but worth repeating. Very nicely done! Les

To give one's heart without any reservation is the greatest measure of faith. Wholeheartedly believing in someone or something is faith. I think you have stated that quite well here.

I love the message in these quatrains. Faith is so many things to so many people. These are very clever lines that stimulate thought.
Rhyming is perfect, good alliteration in "distant destination" and consonance in faith/breath.
Love the last question.
Good work!

This gives one a lot to think about! The things we don't even think about, what are they? A lovely poem, thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest!

Lovely, Brooke. Nice rhymes and rhythm as always. It does take faith to give your heart to someone. Love those last two lines.

This poem could have been an excellent dual entry. The Faith contest and the Quatrain contest. See Brooke, if I were the committee, you would just have won, twice.
Nicely done,
:-) Carolyn
