A nice little story between Horatio and his pretty little miss you have worked around this cute photo of the kids. Lovely flow to these verses Brooke as we read, enjoyed.

Nice way the poem unfolds and has a bit of romantic flare. Good rhyming lines and thought provoking message. Really interesting capture of this photo:)

Oh! What a great shot! I love the fanciful stories you make up to go with the pictures. This one is priceless!
And, does anyone still name their child "Horatio"? I love it :)

Anita, thank you so much for your lovely review and generous sixth star. I imagine a few people still use the name since some families name kids after grandparents and such. But it certainly is out of style. LOL :-) Brooke

This is charming. I love the choice of the name Horatio. That sounds like someone with great plans. It's so true--sometimes our plans go awry. You certainly explain how Horatio had his time planned, and he was ready for some reading. Sometimes life takes us by surprise, as it did Horatio when the charming visitor showed up and planted a kiss on his check. Excellent rhyme. and this flows along in jolly good fun. Adorable picture. judi

The look on Sawyer's face is priceless! It is amazing how you can turn a picture into an entire story. So true that plans get disrupted by other people's plans and sometimes turn out far better than planned.

Excellent rhymes and proximate rhymes. The choice of the name Horatio works well with the rhythm because of its meter. I love the imagery created by the verb "sashayed".

How adorable. He looks kind of surprised. Love it. A nicely laid out poem to go with the picture, too. Brooke, you are amazing! Miss Sally

That is an incredible expression. Hahaha. Love this little 8/6 synopsis of his agenda and the way it was invaded upon by this young lady. Love how you manage to come up with such fun things to apply to these little events. mikey

Hi there
I am giving you a six for endearment! And I will let my stars do the talking on this one. It captures my heart as well! What else can I say about perfection. M.

Even though I knew this was
going to be an, "awe, cute,"
Jesus this was just so true.

Authentic as hell, and...
well, I smiled a big ole smile.

Thank you Brooke.

You have to live for the moment, and be flexible enough to morph into whatever adventure comes your way.
Another fantastic poem with no visible flaws.
I bet you get tired of hearing that. Or not. Lol.
Awesome.
