"The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray." But in this case and many other times, those are the best ones. I myself am a fan of spontaneity. That look on Sawyer's face is priceless. 8-)

Oh, the best laid plans and mice and men and pretty little misses who plant those kisses! What a delightful piece this is. Thanks for another smile-bringer!

I smiled as I read your poem. Of course when I got on FS I saw Sawyer and Chloe's face on the front page and knew I was going to get to read a great poem and I was right.

Oh I know the feeling Horatio. Not of the kiss mind you, but of plans for a day getting all bam-boozzled out of control. If those days could be met with a kiss from a fair maiden, all would be well.

Nicely done once again, Brooke. Great photo. Is Sawyer hamming it up or is that a frightened look? John

John, thank you so much :-) I have no idea why Sawyer is making that exaggerated face. Chloe kisses his cheek quite often, and he usually looks calm about it. LOL Brooke

Another great poem. I am amazed at the quantity and quality of your work. How often have I had my day all planned out only to be interrupted by unforeseen events. Happily, some of those interruptions were the unexpected kiss.

So cute! Sawyer attracts love like honey draws the bees. He's a fortunate little boy.

I loved your rhymes and rhythm. There's a slight change of beat in the second to last stanza, isn't there? I guess I didn't know if the accent should be on 'She SA/shayed or "SHE sashayed". Seems to read well both ways. Maybe I'll learn something here. Well done, Brooke.
