Dear Brooke - I kid you not I laughed so loud over this one the nurses looked up in complete shock.... I just loved Cutie Pie's expression - sorry my friend your post is great and so well expressed - but he has aced you high and dry with that shot. Brilliant job Miranda.
Thanks for sharing.
Maureen

If only all the little twists we find in life were kisses - Oh how wonderful things would be.
This is a charming little piece of whimsy, Brooke.
I wish I could look more learned and say something more intelligent, but I'm coming up blank. Everything is perfect. By the way - I love your 4 syllable name 'Horatio'.
There aren't too many of them these days - but the use of it in this poem is delightful.
Rose.

That picture is priceless, and goes great with the poem, but I suppose the picture came first. Great poem, it is a very fun read. The rhymes really tell a fun little tale of adventure. Good stuff there, Brooke.

Hi Brooke,

What a well written whimsy poem this is. I really enjoyed the read. The picture of Sawyer and Chloe is outstanding. I really like the expression on Sawyer's face. Bravo for this, all the way around.

Brooke: the exciting life of Sawyer as he examines bugs, beaches, books, boxes and babes! I love sugar and Sawyer's sweetness and innocence keep me sugar happy. Of course, grandma's words and mommy's pictures help create the entire dessert plate. Once again, bravo, for a delicious morning treat. Linda

Hi Brooke,

You know whimsy always works well for me. I wish I could be more like Horatio because I like order. Unexpected visitors or plans make me jittery. Just ask my husband, lol.

Hugs,
Lou

I was going to pass on reviewing this post because it left me unimpressed and wondering what the point was.

As I was about to click on the skip spot (or icon) the phrase "a bit of poetic whimsy" caught my eye and a new reason for the words dawned on my tired brain.

I never pass up whimsy, in fact I've led a lifetime of it. I even self-published a book of quatrains (principally) titled Apoplectic Aphorisms with a second title Whimsical Wisdom, so there!

Ha, this is great and it reminds me so much of my own life. I too thought I had it all well planned until a little lady walked in. oh well, that's life.

This work has reached the exceptional level

This is an enchanting little poem with superb rhyme and flow. It has a cute theme in that some interruptions in life are not so bad. I believe any child would enjoy this poem.
