These quatrains transport us and take us to a place where we can contemplate the very Universe itself and our own indvidual place in it -uplifting

I cannot but award this gem my
sixer Brooke. So clever, so good
to recite. And so perfectly set
before us. It is akin to one of
my attempts at the creation.
Wonderful. Eric

A wonderful ode to creation, Brooke, and via that your faith in your beliefs. You never preach or seek to brow-beat, and that's appreciated. Instead, you express what your faith is and how it manifests to you, and that's beautiful.

Mike, thanks so much - yeah, brow-beating preachiness turns me off. It's not the most appealing trait of some of my fellow Christians. LOL :-) Brooke

Hi. Super spin on the faith theme, right back to the beginnings. I like thr rhyme pattern in this,it gives it a bit of pause...to think.

Wow, another fine story of faith. I love the distinction between the time before God filled this earth and after. You write poetry as if it just flows from a fountain. Excellent.

Comment from Margaret Snowdon
I remember all Creation,
from the firmament to sea,
and then I stop to thank the Lord
for all He's given me.
a beautifully written spiritual verse, Brooke -
and as always, the words, and both rhythm and rhyme
flow smoothly throughout - another treat.
good luck with the contest.

A lovely spiritual poem. A fath expression through a creation saga that reminds us how lucky we are for God's benevolence. Well written . A strong entry. Good luck in the contest.

This poem is a beautiful reminder that the glory of the world and all of its wonders are not always in view, but always there. This is a great poem for perking up blah days.

Hi, :-) Brooke,
"In a Time Before The Waters" is an excellent celebration of faith by giving thanks for the world and all of its wonders.
Faith is a wonderful commodity no matter who what receives it.
Excellent poetic art and craft with great figurative language and imagery, rhyme, rhyme scheme and meter. Good luck in the contest.
