Adewpearl: Excellent poem with good rhythm and thoughts of clarity. Fun photo of Sawyer, so cute. I like the black, white and grays of life. Maybe, there are several answers per Sawyer's understanding and yours.

I often wonder what children think about when you see them deep in thought. Life is not predictable, even for a child. Good choice of words and rhyming. Lovely picture and enjoyable read. Faye

Sounds like a child growing up and finding the world not as simple as he'd once thought!

I was thinking today of all the times I was told, "You'll understand when you are older" and how wrong they were. This says the same thing to me. I don't think we can hope for answers just more questions. GREAT photo.

I like this very much, Brooke, because it pertains to me! I think most older fanstorians would feel the same... Where things used to be black and white, they are mostly grey now. It's still good for your children's book as well, Giddy

Ah, moments of clarity are hard to come by. I liked the reflective feeling in this. Great rhythm and the flow was excellent. Great job on this.

You really have caught your reader's attention with the excellent message contained within your poem. I guess the lines have blurred over time; have we retained our identities? I think the clarity of a nation's identity can be lost because of the stealing of the land - the Stolen Generations hang their head, the light has left their once proud nations.

This (as usual) is a very well written poem. It's short, but to the point and easy to understand. The 'black and white' reference is well done, adding a visual aide while also being Universally understood.
