Great photo.
This one makes you think and it gives pause to many ideas and ideals.
Great flow and feeling.
Reads well and makes sense.
Much to ponder here.

contemplative quatrains - This poem speaks to the uncertainty in each of us. Unfortunately, life does not come with a reference manual, and all answers must be supplied by the questioner. Pursuit of answers is tough - but pursuit of questions is tougher. No, wait - perhaps it's the other way around. Just depends on how deeply life affects you.

This poem is a good starting point for someone who admits to themselves that they either haven't found the right answers, or that they are still seeking the right questions. Either way - it is a step toward enlightenment.

Rose.

It is very sad when a house stands empty and you want somebody to play and talk with. Contemplation is a very difficult thing because we don't always get what we want. I really enjoyed reading your great poem.

Not many things are just black and white, and the sooner we accept that things become clear. It amazes me how you can take something so simple and weave it into such a work of art.

The process of thinking. He becomes more conscious of the world and things around him. I loved your interpretation of this thought process. It is quite deep. Sawyer dear, they might teach you a few things when you hit that school. Well penned. luv jada

We all seek clarity in our lives, don't we Brooke? I would like to think we all do, although the jury is still out for some, especially those in power in our Nation's Capitol.

There are specific points one can take; different stands to a wide variety of issues that invade our "safe space".

The white- a clear, pure linear way of approach
The black-a muddled, apprehensive and cautious approach

However, there are also grey areas, areas where compromises and mutual agreements rue the day, and solutions can still be achieved.

Wonderful poem in substance, topic, and composition. Now, I just wonder what little Sawyer is thinking of?

Well done.

Dean, thank you so much :-) He's probably trying to decide if he should sing Don't Call Me Daughter or The Farmer in the Dell, two of his favorites. LOL :-) Brooke

The clarity of black and white -
elusive at its best -
no longer pays me visits,
my questions unaddressed.

Hello Brooke, this poem is what is in my heart today. Such a sad poem, yet of course coming from you, its a master piece, even our boy Sawyer is wandering what is happening. Your rhyming moved up high this poem, to a spot of greatness, and sadness. Love Terry xoxo Hi to Sawyer. xoxo

A reflective poem written poetically
that talks about this uncertain world
that we find ourselves living in, where
the colors that were so clearly seen
in days of yore are now shrouded in
hues of misty gray.
Well done

Hi Brooke,

Indeed, those gray areas. I remember growing up, and with my dad, their was black and white, right or wrong --- 'no' gray areas! Then as he got older, and the grand kids came along, the gray areas filtered in! ('-')

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jax
