Can't wait for Part II, Lee! This is very funny, the language and slang, the vernacular is so good I feel like I just watched an episode of Gunsmoke Gone Rank, instead of just having read a story. I can just hear that loud ... music drowning on the shenanigans upstairs. Loved this.

I'm thinking Union meetings are next.

Thank you, Patti. Gunsmoke Gone Rank--I like that. I have to give credit to Larry McMurtry for freeing up some of the slang. I read Lonesome Dove over and over again.
I'm delighted you're enjoying, and I appreciate the galaxy.
I hope to post the rest tonight. Thanks again.

    Peace, Lee

I live in Cowboy Country Canada - everybody I know has read and re-read those books and worn out their copies of the movies, too! Personally, I've not seen nor read them. I don't like country music, either! I'll put the book on my to-read list. Reading Dean Koontz right now. And your welcome.

Ha!Ha!Ha! Great job with your satirical story about the Whore's War. Mae Bell pulled a fast one on Jack and drove him plum mad (and broke) in the process. Looking forward to part 2! 8-)

Thanks so much, Brooke. Some subjects--men and women--are built for comedy. I'm so glad the villagers are laughing in stead of lighting torches. Yes, the ladies are getting the best of Jack. And he's only too happy to contribute.
Thanks for the galaxy, Brooke. Peace, Lee

Amen. Jack's about to lose the ranch/farm/saloon lock stock and barrel, all for those scrumptious 'bits and pieces.' The dialogue, and descriptions, are simply put, big. As I read this my mind was paralleling 'Deadwood,' which I loved. Kenny

If it wasn't for whoring, there would be a bounty on them. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

There has got to be another part, Lee! LOL, do you do much research before you write your stories? Mae Belle sure is an organiser! I can't wait to read what the outcome is going to be, so don't take too long, please. This was a really funny chapter. :) Sandra xsx

The horizontal howdy? The substantial hump in the price of a hump. Blahahaha I love it! I won't ask where you came up with this one, so to speak. Part two ought to be interesting. It must be western week somewhere on tv. Great work, Lee. I love your sense of humor and the storyline is for sure original. Be well.

Thank you, Jill. Ah, the horizontal howdy. Well, it's not easy keeping things relatively clean when you're writing about whores and cowpokes. Glad you're enjoying. I'll post the 'climax' tomorrow. Peace, Lee

Hmmm, sounds like a good time was had by all. This was really good, Lee, loved the dialogue and the hurmous insights to life in the ole west. You make it actually sound like fun to live amidst the internet free, non-indoor plumbing world of a by-gone era. Good stuff there, Lee.
