LOL, Mikey, that was so funny! Those names! How did you come up with them? The Snooty-Snot Snooker room! Classic! What a shame you missed the contest, you have done that before, I remember reading at least one other that you missed the contest for. I would really like to be able to stick with your stories, but each time I start reading one, so something awful takes me away and I miss a lot. My mum's death was one of them, and another was when I was rushed into hospital. I will get to read one of your books all the way through one day! Soon, I hope. Wonderful story this one. xsx sandra

This is funny Mikey, and the names are hilarious. Truckers are terrible about using bottles as urinals and thee minute I read bottle, I knew what was in it. We'll have to hear about his other 3 wishes...you always get 3 with a genie.

LOL! This is really good. Why didn't you enter this? Surely it would have won any such contest! Brilliant! If it weren't Saturday I'd slap a six right on it! :)

Michael Cahill:
You are very cleaver with your words like utter and onthemapnow town. The last man is in a good position, no longer a nerd but the cool dude.

I had a lady friend who had two black cats, one Jack and one Daniels. Fine choice.

You have a lot of humor in your writing. Very fun to read. Thanks for sharing.

Very, very funny, Mikey! Funny, I read that prompt and assumed it could be about the last man or woman on earth, but you read the prompt and immediately your ideas turn to what it would be like to be the last man on earth while all the women are still here!! Typical!!

I found a couple teensy nigglers. Too bad you missed the contest, this coulda bin a contenda!

...a little more too far (?) How about 'a little further.'

milk(-)filled

..last man on earth," she had told him...

Why, oh why, did you not enter this, Mikey? It's adorable. I like how the narrator of the story can't seem to help letting his own nerdiness slip through with the bad puns and such.
I love the name of the town that now has a Walmart in it: Onthemapnow. At first, I thought the town was named for a Native American word meaning, "We all sold our souls to the devil" ... oh, wait... Was it? Lol!

But, most of all, this story makes me feel compelled to share about my astrological conflagration with you -- I recently found out that not only am I a Leo, but that my ascending sign is Sagittarius, so apparently, that means that I am not only charismatic, but also compelling and authoritative, and would be well-served by a pulpit (at least, according to some free astrology website that I consulted). Anyway, thank God I am female and was once young... Lol!

This was very entertaining! You are still darling, even now that I've seen you nerd out!

Well, at least it has an abundance of style. Actually, Sherwood is a killer character. The vocabulary that you equip him with is awesome.
Well done.
