Oh, she's gettin' fancy on us again! Rhyming quatrains with the phrases in the last line of each a reverse of the first. And still, they rhyme. Sounds simpler that it is to construct, and a thorough joy to read, Brooke. :) nancy

I love the style of this poem, the repeating line at the end of each verse is appealing. Rhyme and meters is very smooth giving a lighthearted feel. The picture is adorable.

I hope I'm reading this as a poem to accompany that cute picture at the top. Young love is so guileless and a child's heart is so forgiving; too bad that many times this unconditional does not grow with them into adulthood.

Brooke, This swap quatrain is just so cute and so is the picture! This format seems to fit the subject matter perfectly ! Your execution is perfect as always. I still recall my g/f around Sawyer's age. I'll never forget her either!
Loved it!
All the best, Rodger

Hi, ;-) Brooke,
Thanks much for this delightful picture of puppy love. It is nice to think that I an old man once had such experiences. The rhyme, meter and rhyme are excellent. As is the figurative language and imagery (her winsome ways that so beguile).

Adewpearl, I keep reading and reviewing poems by you and I am in awe of your ability to keep producing beautiful poems that are fun, perfectly rhymed and never too syrupy. This one is delightful and accompanied by a gorgeous photo.

It is lovely to see these wee ones walking happily together, there is already too much strife in the world without kids adding to it; maybe they can teach us a thing or two! Well chosen rhyming and words to convey the sweet message. Cute pic, too. Faye
