You have written a wonderful poem from an absolutely brilliant photo of Sawyer and Chloe, Children in play are fascinating. Their innocent smiles and giggles.
I've lost my heart to Chloe's smile,
her winsome ways that so beguile.
With all the love I can impart,
to Chloe's smile, I've lost my heart.
Well done

Oh Sawyer! How sweet, and what a lovely picture of innocent childhood friendship.
An enchanting Swap Quatrain poem with a very thoughtful choice for repeated lines.

I also sign my name to reviews, knowing what a hard time I have remembering - that is cool that it's your daughter's name - I've always like it :-)

What a beautiful love poem - how very tender and heart warming. My 8 year old has a bit of a hard crush right now - so cute to watch him carry her back pack to the car after school.

. . .(the names have been changed
to represent ALL the innocent ;-)
At any age, at every age
a winsome smile, beguiling eyes
can capture the heart
make spirits soar, put rainbows in skies -
At any age, at every age
nothing beats a warm embrace
a hand to clasp
love's call and chase :-)

I like the rhyming that you used. And I like the description that was used, it really helped to paint a picture of the love that is felt!

This is delightful. I love those little details that make for perfection. "enclasped", just a slight difference and yet that is exactly the way it should be. All throughout the piece, little things like that take it to the next level. All of those little details do matter. Excellent. mikey

To lose your heart at such an early age, oh, my! And I thought I was young at five to have a boyfriend.
I love the phrases you use that show the devotion of a young child, "warmth that can not be surpassed" for example.
Blessings,
Anita

Thank you so much, Anita - this little girl is so cute - her favorite thing to say is "Sawyer's so cute," and he loves to make pretend phone calls to her, which he has been doing for months. LOL Brooke :-)

what a wonderful poem and sentiment. What a lucky child to have a poet like you in her life. I look forward to reading more and more about your great love for the world and its beings.
