Nicely done. It's right that where ever you fall down, that's also the way where you can get up. Thats why when we see a mother teaching her baby to walk. She also shown the baby when you fall, you have to get up and keep trying hard until you reach the top.

jpdleon, thank you so very much :-) I love mothers who allow their children to fall and pick themselves up - way more than fretful, hovering mothers. Brooke

A delightful little poem. Where is the up found? That is a matter of perspective. Up is a state of mind, and reading your wonderful work lifts readers' spirits up. Well done.

Brooke, I'm sure that Sawyer is so smart that he would definitely know the up from the down. Does mom read him all of your poems, I'm sure she does, and does he understand or ask questions? Some may be a bit over his head, but I'll bet he understands most of them. I read your poems to Ron and he says that you have a good imagination, as most good poets do, and of course he included myself, lol! Love this one as well. . .Sharon

Sharon, thank you so much :-) He is only 26 months old, so he does not ask questions about my writing yet, but he likes strong rhymes and rhythm. :-) Brooke

I think he may take after you with your writing. My granddaughter who's 12 now, started drawing when she was only 3. At about 6, she started to paint, which I do. Just recently, a few months ago, she started writing poems! My daughter read one to me and it was really good, so beautiful. I told her that I'd get a membership here when she wants one. But for the summer, she loves the sun and the pool, but so did I at her age!

And the language is flawless and the rhymes consistent,
without spags and with images clear, so I can't say ought but excellent, though more frothy and calorie free than usual...

You seem to find so much inspiration in a young child. You are quite adept at giving voice to the musings of a child who sees things from such a different perspective from adults.

Brooke, I most delightfully enjoyed this somewhat a children's poem very much because it had great rhyme and rhythm, tempo and meter throughout the poem.
The rhyming was stupendous and neither forced nor labored while the rhythm flowed smoothly throughout your poem
which made it easy for me to read your poem so clearly and is great for children to easily understand if read to.
Another excellent writing where you outdo yourself every time you write a poem which is explicitly beautiful and brilliantly achieved.
Thank you for sharing and posting this very creative and inventive piece of poetry with everyone and may the Lord be with you always.

this charming poem reminds me of when I was a kid and used to look up at the clouds or put my head between my legs and watch the world go round upsidedown. always a pleasure

Another Sawyer gem! This captures, in part, the inquisitive nature of a certain little boy I bet. You have an endless fountain with him to write about. Perfect, as always.
