Oh Brooke this poem is adorable. Sawyer is so cute playing with his friend wondering which is up and which is down. You sure have a knack with children's poetry. Great job, Shirley

I continue to be amazed at your ability to speak the language of a child's heart.
Bottoms up, my dear!!

This is a wonderful quatern, Brooke, and I think you are a genius with words. Whoever would have thought of using 'up' in this way, I'm sure I don't know! Brilliant children's poem, Giddy

Brooke, how very clever. Kind of an Alice in Wonderland frame of thought. The rhyme scheme is less complicated than usual but suits the subject well. Another good one! --Elaine

Little jack and Jill tumbling down a hill.
catchy poem about ups and downs.
Quatern form is perfect for this subject as your
line tumbles down each stanza. nancy

This is a wonderful poem to tickle youngsters with. Well, it tickled me. And I am in my second childhood. This is the kind of poem I would read to a semi-circle of first graders, introducing them to poetry and urging them to draw pictures of what they think the poet is saying. I love this.

This is how great poems are written.
Excellent job for sure.
It is always much more impressive to me when smaller words are used to fill the space. Some people confuse a large vocabulary with skill, but they are completely different.
Anyway, fantastic job.
