I always loved dandelions. I think they are very misunderstood little plants :). This poem is very well written. Good luck in the contest.

The art work is wonderful for these words written.
The words written here for this contest
are truly beautiful to read.
Nature and her gifts to us all are very special.
We can all feel lonely in life like this dandelion.
Wonderful writing and entry for the contest.
I have no six left

Okay, you got my attention with the dandelion because I like them so much. You artfully use the repeating line with such skill that I had to read the poem again to realize that you had used it in each stanza.

Dear Brooke, all dandelions are welcome here. Even blue ones. Snow is forecast for tonight :( and I am staying close by the fireside.
I do love this poem, particularly your pairing of felt/melt. The artwork and presentation is gorgeous. I cannot give this poem its deserving six stars, however, because I am presently a standard, but thank you so much for sharing this poem on such a winter's day (my daughter has discovered the Mamas and the Papas!).
:) Lise

You're getting snow and we're headed into a heat alert tomorrow because the humidity will make the heat seem like it's over 100 degrees farenheit - why can't weather always be moderate? LOL
Thanks so much :-) I adore the mamas and the papas :-) Brooke

Brooke, That's a sweet poem. I'm sure that dandelion
did flourish and have a huge family of dandelions
all around him. I like the presentation of the blue
background to accentuate the thought of this dandelion
feeling blue.

"This dandelion, feeling blue."
The summer breeze becomes its comforter and companion. A gift of friendship and love. Nicely done with remarkable execution of SPAG command. Nothing short of the renowned author. Happy July 4th

Hi Brooke,
This is a really well written Quatern Poem. You're right the photo of the dandelion, ready to fly away, is very nice. I want to try this style of poetry, so hopefully I'll be able to think of something to write.

Brooke, I love this short story about a blue dandelion. The best is when the summer breeze wanted to give him a family by spreading his seeds. And then the sun and rain wanted to help too. I sure hope you put this one into your childrens books, it's really so good, and it made me feel good reading it. . .Sharon
