Carolyn, this Triolet Poetry Contest entry is well penned and fulfills the elements of the contest with a strong spiritual message. Nice to see a fellow poet and Christian to put a verse at the end as I do. All the best in the contest! :0 GracieAnn

Thank you GracieAnn for your wonderful comments. Yes, I enjoy supporting work with a scripture, especially if I have a quote. The Lord deserves that credit. :-)

Thank you Judy, I will take the virtual six, along with your fine comments anytime. This was my first Triolet, but I enjoyed the form.

And thank you Maureen, I'm glad you enjoyed this. It was my first Triolet, so I am hoping it does well in the contest. I never know what they are looking for, so I aimed for accuracy, as well as a meaningful message. Your comments are always encouraging to me.
    Love you, Carolyn

How can we win on love if we have given all and is still waiting for a bright spark in the sky to make our dream love come true.
What more can I do or say to make you love me or at least let our love begin its flow and joy.
Excellent Triolet. Well done and bravo too!!

    Hi Carolyn,

Yes, what happened to her. She just 'disappeared' from here, smiles. I hope she doesn't have any undisclosed illness like Gungalo (which caught us all by surprise.
Have a lovely and wonderful day. i shall be off and on in FS for a while but will try to keep up with your great works, smiles.
Cheerio, love and hugs, bro Ritchie. :))

This piece of writing just oozes out poetic verve from its beginning to its ending. I enjoyed reading those thoughts and poetic measure. This is a well written piece of poetic parlance that I enjoyed reading... John

Interesting since the repeated thoughts have a deeper meaning the second time around. Now I know I have to go back and work on mine!

This is the first Triolet I have ever written. I found it challenging and as you say, the repetition gives a deeper meaning.
    Thanks for reading and commenting.

Carolyn, just so you know quick enough you weren't blinded as repetitive should be your fifth line that should be repetitive. The format should be as follows:
AA 1
A 2
B 3
A 4
AA 5
A 6
B 7
AA 8
B 9 LINES
otherwise and that it is excellently descriptive and artistically expressive as the imagery goes throughout the poem.
The rhyming is also exceptionally neither of your rhymes are for storm a bird while your rhythm does flow smoothly throughout your poem.
Thank you so much for sharing am posting this for everyone and may all your endeavors be good ones.
Alex

    Dear Alex,
Thank you for taking the time to read, and as usual I am delighted you liked the over-all poem. I cut and copied the rules for the contest as they seem different from the ones you provided. This was my first attempt at Triolet.

    From the contest description site:
For this contest you are challenged to write a Triolet poem. A triolet is a poem of only eight lines with a rhyme scheme abaaabab. The fourth and seventh lines are the same exact line as the first. The eighth line is the same exact line as the second.

I appreciate the heads up, but will leave as is, for the time being.
    Love, Carolyn

Yes, it's a question I'm sure God frequently asks Himself. And yet, many still resist and refuse His selfless sacrifice and gift of eternal salvation. So be it.

We are not made to be robots. We are ordained, by God, with the power of free thinking and discernment. He leaves the choice of whether or not to accept his gift up to each individual. They either accept the word of God and take is as truth, or they don't.

I myself chose to believe.

Well done.

I am not familiar with a triolet poem, but I very much like the way yours flows. It professes a lovely message of God's love. Good luck in the contest. Alana
