The abcb rhyme and tetrameter/trimeter rhythm works well in your beautiful little poem about:kaleidoscopes of butterflies. What a great image, and it's connected to the collective noun! You reckon it will be Heaven of earth if butterflies fly above cornfields' sunflowers. Yes, that would be an amazing sight. Very sensual write here, Brooke.

Wow, what a beautiful poem and such a nice subject idea! Your photo couldn't be more perfect either. I love learning new things, such as the word kaleidoscope representing a group of butterflies. Awesome!

This was an awesome poem, Brooke. Loved the colours of yellow and gold in the picture. It gives a sunshine appeal to the poem. It would be so nice if a kaleidoscope of butterflies accompanied us when heaven calls. But for all we know - that is what happens. Well penned. luv jada

Then, I hope the kaleidoscope will be forever true. So nice is this vision of though that its materialization can easily be achieved through thought alone and so be its manifestation at the hour.
I hope then that life be beautiful in the final sleep as the life itself.
Best wishes,
RG

This is a wonderful beautiful poem that flows so well, the choice of words is impeccable as is the rhme, my deceased daughters favourite insects were Butterflys and her bedroom is full of them in every shape and form.. Exquisite poem.

I didn't know that about a kaleidoscope of butterflies...

You gain an interesting effect with the repetition of key lines.

Great rhyme and meter and an unusual request...

Absolutely gorgeous photograph of the butterflies. One beautiful poem you have written - butterflies represent new life in many cultures. Perhaps you could dedicate this to Gungalo (Pam) if you knew her well. Thanks for sharing nana.

Kay, thank you so much, my friend. I appreciate your generous sixth star. Pam and I reviewed each other regularly but never became friends, no PM chats. I have that connection with you and a few others, and I feel the pain of those who did have that connection with her. But I think I would just be jumping on a bandwagon to dedicate a poem to her, a person who was pretty much a stranger to me. Brooke

I used to read her but got sick of the subject. I like change. I never write about the same subject and try to educate folks about Oz. I don't know what all the fuss is about - she is much happier where she is. :-)

This is just beautiful. When I was young I would lay on my back and watch butterflies float underneath the clouds. Sadly as I became older I stopped doing this. I am now to old. maybe it's time I started again. Anyways, what a beautiful poem this is. You are very talented.
