A truly wonderful idea and a perfectly rhymed and worded poem. The butterfly is surely the epitome of beauty with their fantastic colours and patterns. Congratulations on the well deserved awards. Pete

Hi, Brooke.
Your poem has strong visual imagery. I like the theme a lot. Butterflies are too beautiful. You've made effective use of the refrain line.
If Heaven ever visits Earth,
I wonder shall I see
kaleidoscopes of butterflies
who've come to call on me.
Whimsical lines! Fine use of phonetics with S consonance, C alliteration and I assonance.
The meter is flawless and rhyming is strong, as always. Nice presentation of your work, too.
Regards,
Anupam

What a lovely vision of heaven. I hope that there will be butterflies there in abundance! Last week we had a kaleidoscope of around fifty Monarch butterflies on the lavender bushes around our B&B. Their burnished orange made a stunning contrast against the background colour of lavender blue and there was a seething sense of life as they rose and fluttered and settled again in the gentle breeze and winter sunshine. "If Heaven ever visits Earth" - I think it often does, if we have the eyes to see.

This is beautiful. The daisy and the kaleidoscope of flutter was a song sung to my heart. May it be as you said...when heaven visits earth.

Thanks for putting out a beautiful picture of the Monarchs, enjoying this yellow flower..Hopefully they will return this year as weren't much around in 2013...A great rhyming poem to contemplate with good word choices throughout...A very pleasant read for a Sunday.

Your poem is full of 'Golden' moments Brooke. I love the use of kaleidoscope here in each stanza, the refrain of its use truly creates a visual wonder. Enjoyed this very much.
