Hello Brooke,
I like the simple wish you make in this colorful write. Although, the word "behest" suggests it is more of a command. But, why not? Ask, and ye shall receive, correct? Beautiful work, with this excellently rhymed thought of Heaven meets Earth. Have a great weekend, Bill

Brooke, This is my personal favorite poem for today. My kitchen is sunflower décor. I love the photo art. I wish I could frame it. Poetic talents and unlimited artistry abilities flow through your veins every day. How very beautiful..... Carole

Hi Brooke,

I think your image of a heaven full of beauty and a kaleidoscope of butterflies is a great image. According to N T Wright, former Bishop of Durham, heaven co-exists with Earth but is 'visible' to us only imperfectly and briefly in key moments and events.

What an excellent poem , love the style and the repetition
sounds great when read aloud. Yes Brooke, heaven visits all the time earth
and leaves many treasures like Sawyer... ;:--). Pili

Brooke: lovely writing and sentiment. It is certainly a wonder of nature or Heaven, to see butterflies fly by in an ever changing array of colors. Such a delicate creature and such a delicate poem. Linda

Yet another lovely addition to your work Brooke.

kaleidoscopes of butterflies - such a lovely and very visual phrase - I can envision them now, fluttering gently on my lawn. Nicely done.

Well written poem. Rhythmical lines flow from beginning to end. Picture art enhances the imagery of the message. Sunflower and butterflies have an idealistic effect on the poem. Good job; God bless!

Very imaginative piece! I didn't know that a herd/flock/bunch of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope... and it certainly is appropriate. :)

Phyllis, thank you so much :-) I didn't know either until I Googled it after starting the poem, and I was delighted to find out it was not something prosaic like a herd :-) Brooke
