I really enjoyed this adorable poem about a very self-confident child. This swap quatrain writing style with this is terrific and the photo is perfect! Great work!

This is really a very positive write. Determination being the strong focus on life. Looking at the glass half full instead of half empty.
Great words to know that there is always a different way of seeing. Whatever we see will be.

well written
Sawyer is really doing his very best in this photo.

That is the beauty of perseverance and strength. To never give up, to strive is as important to the young as it is to the seasoned, though the perspectives are slightly different, the meaning is the same.
A thoughtful poem and a good aabb structure with good end rhymes and good ethics.

I love the art work and words very much.

We can only give our best shot with everything

Within our lives.

Sawyer seems to be very keen and loving this game.

Another good poem with a good message. Good word flow and rhyming make it easy to read and understand. Lots of good advice here about never giving up, but doing whatever is needed to be better and survive.

I hope he keeps making the shot and pursues the game in school--it's great exercise! I once again relished the sway quatrain. Your lesson in persistence and your rhymes are memorable. Cheers- Joan

Thank you so much, Joan - yeah, basketball is a lot less dangerous than football, I suppose. I want him to join the chess and debate teams. LOL :-) Brooke

Brooke, I enjoy your poems so much that get
inspiration from your pictures of Sawyer.
Great alliteration in tippy-toes, different
dream and bubbles burst.

Your poetry always has the most precise rhythm and it flows with the easy pace of a country stream.

It's uplifting and most times it carries the innocent face of your grandson, I presume.

When I'm feeling down I like to find and read an Adewpearl poem. Thank you for providing that release

I can never decide if he is cuter or smarter. LOL Today my daughter posted videos of him singing Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby, and then for contrast Hey Mr. Tambourine Man. Of course, at 25 months he only sings the first several lines of each, but I can't help but thinking how remarkable that is :-)
