This is such a precious and delightful poem. I love the bounce to the lines and the rhythm is perfect. What a terrific photo to go with this one too...I am sure the photo inspire this delightful write.

Brooke, as always your writings are wonderful. Because of the picture, I'm sure some will think this is just about basketball but putting the picture aside your poetry has real depth into it.

Thanks so much. Yes, there are some who take a look at a picture and don't pay much attention to the poem. Words/Diane has noticed that about the art she selects if the art matches the metaphor she is using. Brooke

I remember my kids had one of those wee basketball hoops when they were that small. Good to teach them skills at an early age. Well written rhymes and words to create your wonderful poem. It was as smooth as butter and most enjoyable. Faye
