Hi Brooke,

I like your poem about Sawyer trying to make a shot. You always write such nice poems about him. Who could expect less though when he's so cute?

Very nice addition to Sawyer's Book of Love by Grandma. I like the rhyming and the positive tone of never, ever giving up. Lovely offering. Jean

Your poetic way of writing is amazing Brooke
The way you make everything flow and the Love you put into each write just amazes me to the point of awe.

I hope you are keeping all these in a binder for Sawyer in the future, he'll love reading how Grandma wrote about him, with great appreciation!

Amen to have a Grandma like you!

This work has reached the exceptional level

I'm going to print this out fro my son. He plays basketball on a year around league and when his game is off, he gets so down. I like the light at the end of the tunnel emotion. Just work hard and you will achieve. Great motivator.

If at first you don't succeed, keep trying or try something different. If you find you cannot do something one way, find another way to do it. This poem speaks well of perseverance and overcoming obstacles.

My grandsons have the identical " shooters ring " Brooke. I love your latest poem, when I was a younger man I played a lot of competitive sport so I relate to your poem! A lovely poem, nice smooth flow and imagery,! Some Nice perfect rhyming in couplets, great meter! Blessings, Roy.

An excellent form of poetry where one can see the keen aspiration of Sawyer to achieve what he wants. He'll even plant a tree to get shade! I suppose that desire to accomplish things is in all of us. Well done.

I am very impressed with how you wove refrains into this poem and used internal and end rhyme. I also like how the Speaker is tenacious and resourceful in his quests. A challenging format, but you handled it very well, Brooke. Just a suggestion to get that internal rhyme in line 2 of your final stanza: to avoid the way that's the same to make the winning score.
