It seems you are quite the photographer also.
A very nice image of the subject of this 3/5/3 poem.
How fortunate you were to not only hear, but also see, the little triller.
Thoughtfully written and presented.

The words and the picture captures that moment of pure joy at the song 'dedicated' to you by that lone bird. May the song make each day merry and happy, Tom. Well done.

Hi, Treischel,
"Sing" is o.k. but it is not up to your usual standards.
It should have more figurative language, descriptive, poetic, etc, I did not see much poetic about it other than the form.
What makes you think it was singing for you and cares whether you listen or not?

Thank you Preston. I just prefer to think of it that way. That's the poetic part of it.
Comment from Angel Debbie
O song bird
Sing a song for me
I'll listen
We who are not involved in the cement world love the songs of Nature. They are so refreshing and delightful. And well worth it after a hard day at work!
Thanks for the Authors notes and the beautiful pieces of art you produced.
Thank You for sharing.

I know I've said this before, but I love how you blend your photos and poetry. So meaningful for the reader. The Red-Winged Blackbird has a great song. How nice that you were treated to a private concert!
Well done, Tom.

A delightful feathered friend to complement a well-penned 3-5-3;
Nice alliteration, good audio imagery.
Thank you for sharing your love of nature, both in photography and creative writing.

Thank you Margaret. That is wonderful to hear.

I truly like the simplicity of your 3-5-3. It is rhythmic and brief like the song of most birds.
I also like how you employ "song" twice, once as an adjective and once as a noun.
Nicely done.

beautiful pairing of photo and 3/5/3 poem
I love that the poem is directly addressed to the bird
nice alliteration in sing a song
and I love the speaker's tender reassurance to the bird that if he sings, the speaker surely will be an attentive audience :-) Brooke

You have eloquently captured in words the interesting drama of real life. I myself have been walking and wondered about the species of the boys I've seen but never put much into it. I find it fascinating how bird are so similar to one another but vary by species through nonchalant markings.
