Hi Brooke,

Somebody likes this bouncy poem (me). I can't help but wonder if Miranda will also be pleased if Sawyer learns to dismantle her electronic stuff. Oh, cynical me. Hey, when he learns all about computers, send him over. I'm guessing he'll be an expert by age five, lol.

Hugs,
Lou

Pretend that is an eight! ...Just a sweet, sincere poem of discovery and thought...You have such insight and a way to put that insight into words that is always so meaningful!

Oh little Sawyer. You will know soon enough young man. With the vast means of technology what you have at your fingertips at a young age is far beyond what we had. The world is for you to explore!

Nicely done Brooke. To me, it's one of your best this year. John

A favourite past time of young children: finding how how to take things apart ;-) I liked the way you used a slightly edited refrain line, moving it down one line in each stanza. I think this poem would appeal to children because of the repetition, and because every young child has been 'taught' something be a well meaning adult, and expected to remember it forever, but few adults are willing to listen when children try to teach us about the magic of childhood.

Blessings,

~ J.

I like your poem very much, Brooke. The idea, the rhymes and the mixed meter certainly resonate with me. The picture is absolutely gorgeous and complements perfectly well with the words.

My favorite stanza is the last one

Nobody's shared why rivers bend
or where I'll find the rainbow's end,
or where a falling star might go,
but somebody thinks I ought to know.

Brooke, for me this is a six star poem and I'll work hard to follow you (hmm... you know me, far behind LOL).

The life a child is wondrous, isn't it? You do such a wonderful job of probing into the mind of the child...particularly this little angel. Another excellent contribution to your book of children's poetry...Stephanie

'Somebody Thinks' is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. The answers to this talented poet's questions are a mystery to me. It was a pleasure to review a work of this standard.

Very playful alliterations and good imagery to match. Spirited tone as the subject puts up the debate about what is known and should she know. Nice descriptions...fairies, blue skies. Sweet little photo.

One cleverly written piece from one clever writer. Well, I think, you know! I always love reading your poems, Brooke. Although, I'm not an expert with words, I feel the happiness and fulfillment you're experiencing everyday. Keep up the good work! c", mae
