I love your poems about a child's curiosity; you do them so well.
I think Sawyer should know everything, well almost everything. Pretty soon he'll be wanting to know about the birds and the bees. Can't wait to hear that poem. LOL

amahra, thanks so much :-) I'm already convinced he's in love with Chloe, so he may know more than you think. LOL :-) Brooke

What a delightful poem! The rhyme and meter are lovely as always. I think 3-yrs-old is about the age many children discover the word "why". I remember having a very circular conversation with one of my friend's daughters when she was that age. :)

This is delightful, Brooke. And I think the 'somebody' who wants to know is usually named Sawyer. But only when he thinks up the question. How dare somebody else ask him a question he can't answer.
I like the play with 'somebody' and 'nobody'. It has a very realitically logical logic. But nobody tells me anything.
Peace, Lee

Nobody tells me anything either. :-) Thanks so much, Lee - your bright sixth star is a pretty sight on a day when I'm feeling punk :-) Brooke

Sorry, you're feeling punk. I'm just fighting my way out of something. Lost a couple of days. Hope you feel better. L

Your mixed meter just dances with joy. Sometimes it's better not know why things are the way they are. One answer: The Big Theory, but then what came before? The sound to this is just truly amazing. Les

Thank you so much, Les :-) Coming from a poet of your talent, a sixth star is twice as shiny. Brooke

A wonderful reminder of how much there is to learn, and how kids soak it all up like a sponge! The last stanza is my favourite. As a kid, I used to chase rainbows, because somebody who KNEW told me there was gold at the end of them.
I learned frustration at an early age. LOL!
Lovely poem, Brooke. It begs to be read aloud. How Sawyer is growing! And what a smile. :)

Another great poem Brooke. I bet Sawyer does think his Grandma knows everything. You have written so many wonderful poems to him and about life. We have all enjoyed watching him grow. Thanks for sharing his delightful smile. I know he always makes me smile when I see him. Well done. Nancy

Hi Brooke,
Your poem is very nice, like always, but what tickled me is Sawyers big smile and how many nice white teeth he already has. I can't imagine someone his age learning how to dismantle the table umbrella. Not only cute, but smart!

There are so many things in life that we should know but were not told in time.
And even when we were told, did we listen? We tend to look at life with a fast forward manner and make quick decisions without time delay.
There are times we do not really know what's the right thing or answer.
Life will forever reamin a mystery and we will never know it all - so less questions and more peace of mind, smiles.
Great 'tumbling and rolling' poem in mixed meter that gets the readers bouncing back and forth on a see-saw, :)).
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie. :))
