There's nothing to beat a smile - especially one of Sawyer's! This is a real granny's-eye-view of the world and the order of importance in it! There's a Welsh place name that should also bring a smile! It always did for me! Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll-llantysiliogogogoch.
The locals call it Llanfair, but I think that the beauty of it lies in the 'gogogoch' at the end!

"Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious" it looks like Sawyer found it entertaining :-) A wonderful, family minded poem, that made me think of all the people I love whose smiles have brought me so much joy over the years, and continue to shine light on my days. I do think though, and I'm sure you'll agree, that there is really something about the innocent smile of a young child.

Blessings,

~ J.

Hello, This is not about the "super" word but about a wonderfully bright mind contemplating and processing. So funny are the expressions on the photos. Rubylou

You will likely laugh at what I am about to scribble here, but smiles like being good stewards of the land must cultivated or they to can become endangered. Smiles are powerful, and when they are sincere and genuine they have the power to chase away the blues and whatever might aile you. They can be as bright as the sun or as soft as a rose petal. But one thing above all else is true, they do bring joy beyond words.

What a smile the tyke has? And that word is very funny in sound and effort to say. I always ask my students when they say it for whatever reason if they can spell it. Most decline and smile...

Brooke,
It is a pretty silly word. LOL I don't think as many children know like they used to. The pictures are awesome as usual. Imagery is excellent.
Love,
Barbara

Smiles always create warm feelings, especially the smile of a child. I admire how you are able to create a story with 6/6/8/6 and get it perfect.
The photos of the little boy are beautiful and it's obvious he inspires you to write.
Well done,

:) Liandra

I think your poems are read to Sawyer for his smiles are infectious to us all for he must be thinking of something good for his person. Thank you for your wonderful thoughts for this child and certainly all children.

Ah, you again. writing as smoothly as ever. Excellent.
But you spark a memory-though your poem is in no way an imitation-of a W.H. Auden thing I want to read again.

Hi Brooke,

Once again you paint a lovelöy set of mental pictures with your poem. I like the simile of a smile bringing light and joy.
