well my state is in quite a drought this year - makes you think though about what is happening on our planet
I know your poem was one of love and having no regrets - it just gave me pause

This poem seems to say that we should take it one day at a time. If time that won't resume, so be it. As long as you did what you could. That's all that matters. In the end, very upbeat. Thanks for sharing. Les

Said like a devoted grandma. I feel the same way. Being a grandmother is a blessing everyone should have the privilege of experiencing.

I'm running out of comments to make about your poetry, Brooke, except to wonder - once again - how you keep doing it and doing it so well.
Lovely!

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, There are few joys greater than the joy of child, especially a grandchild. Another uplifting poem filled with happiness. I especially liked:
I won't bemoan my fate,
nor life shall I revile,
for I will always have the joy
I've found within your smile
(Indeed)
Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

A wonderful way to describe the joy and happiness that can be brought to one by something as simple as a smile from someone we love. It can brighten our whole day and help us forget our troubles.

He is just one of the most precious gifts of a darling sent from heaven by God. I love the poem too. You and his parents are very blessed. God loves you and so do I.

It is always good to remember that no matter how dry the land may become, when laughter comes, the mirth is often so strong that it waters the heart with tears of joy.
