That was a beautiful pantoum sonnet, Steve, flawless in form and execution. Perfect iambic meter, excellent enjambment. I liked your notion that you enjoy love that is "safe and warm" and not raging like a storm, as described by poets.

Favorite lines:

Is passion for a day a love that's true?
It dazzles then it dies. Our fire more pure
outlasts eternity, forever new;
through darkest night it burns both strong and sure.

The only thing, I have a problem with that font for a poem such as a pantoum sonnet. It is an entirely personal thing - but I would have chosen Georgia, Trebuchet MS, or Times.
Again, this is just me, and some fonts are more romantic than others (lol).

A great entry, Steve, that should do very well in the contest.

    Thanks, Yelena, and thanks for organising the contest. You certainly attracted a great field and superb entries - hence my entry that I was quite pleased with languishing near the tail of the field.
