Cute poem once again, you are so good at these you may want to consider teaching a class. :) Great wording throughout, lots of alliteration in personifying the ladybug; Unique word choices like 'ambled/ambling" and "aplenty". I don't know why but it makes me think of the old commercial for "good 'n plenty" candy. As always a pleasure to read and review. Sorry, I have no sixers left.
All the best, Rodger

I can feel the sun and the lovely day when the lady bug came out to play. It has great meter - a very lighthearted ditty you crafted!

I'm running out of adjectives with which to express my admiration for your work and in imminent danger of becoming a "groupie", which I assume, you already have many! How's that for a run-on sentence? LOL Dennis

We get an abundance of ladybugs every fall and winter. And they move indoors. Sometimes by the hundreds. But they keep the houseplants clean over the winter months and love sunny windows. There are just so many crunchy corpses to vacuum up. I like your vision better. :D Nancy

I like the theme of nature with these last two poems, colorful and cute. A nice way of highlighting nature with a close up simple effect.
A nice aabb structure again with good end rhymes.
Best wishes,
Rgstar

Children would love this poem because all kinds of bugs attract them at the age of 3-5.This is a lovely poem with smart upbeat rhythm with the repeated rhyme scheme of 'ot'.Children would find it easy to sing or recite.I liked the bug's attitude -to savour all that the sun allots.there is a lesson for us . Thank you for this fun poem
I have always wondered why they are called ladybirds( that's what we were taught to call them in English -it is the British name for it ,I suppose)Ladybug is better ,though it does not explain the 'lady'.And they are not bugs either (as per my scientist friend' definition) they are beetles !

Sanku, thank you so much :-) I don't get why the Brits call them birds either. LOL And as for the lady, who knows? LOL Brooke

You write with such verve and ease, Brooke, your grandkids and any kids who read this or have it read to them ... must love you.
I can imagine the little tyke opposite your poem is looking down at the ladybug doing her thing, perhaps listening to your words like a melody in the background.
Something sure has his attention!
You are of professional caliber, Brooke, as this once again proves.
