The use of alliteration in this work stands out. Great job. A well-crafted rhyme.
"dots/spots/day/stay.
lots/dots/one/sun?
grass/pass/dots/spots.
grace/place/allots/dots."
I'm always humbled to read your work.

Sound lovely, soaking up the sun like that lady bug with no cares in the world. I loved this and you captured what being a lady bug might be like

I enjoyed your abundant "ots" sounds and lighthearted descriptions of the ladybug's travels. Oh, ladybug, ladybug, fly my way! Thanks for the fun and happy weekend- Joan

The ladybug, a very special little creature and I think its her spots that attract us. Great rhyming in this poem as this little ladybug ambles through her day.

The second poem of yours today and I could simply copy what I wrote on the caterpillar offering. I hope you are keeping these in specific chapters (bugs, butterflies, etc.) for your babe. I know he will treasure these one day.

Hello adewpearl, Brooke, A very, very sweet poem. I do love ladybugs. Please send one my way 'cause my Granny use to say ... if ladybug lands on you, you're going to come into money. So Brooke, please free the farm - lol.
I especially liked:
So as the sun would shed its grace
on every green and leafy place,
she'd savor all the sun allots,
this ladybug of several dots.
(Great imagery ... now, Brooke, send that ladybug my way 'cause there are a few things that I would like to savor as well ... and now would be nice while I'm still able to savor and remember what I just savored - lol.)
Thank you for making me smile. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Ladybug, or those annoying Japanese beetles? Well, anything Japaness is annoying. I digress, wonder poem, simple and touching with this simple travls of a Ladybug. They are pretty with their multiple spots on red. Good stuff there, Brooke.

An excellent poem up to the poet's usual high standards. You have a good knack for writing children's poetry, I think you've found your niche in your writing life.

Another perfectly crafted piece. The wordplay with the spots and dots works well and I thought you did a great job with more subtle alliterations to help with the flow and pacing of this work. You seem to be in a buggy mood the last few writes lol. Great work and thanks for sharing.

This is a great poem about the ladybug, Brooke, it is simple enough for children to memorise and recite themselves, which can only be a good thing. We call them the 'Ladybird' over here, but they are the same thing, both are red with black spots. Another nice one! :) Sandra.

Thanks so much, Sandra, for your generous response to this poem. I am still pondering why you guys call a bug a bird. LOL :-) Brooke
