A very well done poem. It's short, but with a clear and thought provoking message. The picture goes really well with it too.

Good question done in poetry. No man knows his or her time for it is always. Just pays to be ready when ever. Well done poet.

I am a fan of both sunrise and sunset.

Love the artwork that you chose for this piece.

I do agree, we have a choice to see the beauty and grandeur of life or to ignore it.

The last look at perfection through tired eyes of pure mortals,
Will we awake to see the rising of the sun or sleep for eternity?
I know I want to live prepared James 4:14
yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
Well done
God bless

Sleep tonight and don't worry about tomorrow. If it comes, it will wake you up; if not then sleep to eternity.

The author writes about the unsureness of tomorrow. Nature probably show us all its splendor at dusk without any promises that we will see it again. It is offered to us mortals as a gift before we rest as a reminder that things of beauty are best enjoyed before sleep because it puts the soul at rest.

This is certainly a well written and thought provoking caption. It is a good beginning for a work I assume is still in progress. Nicely done and thank you so sharing this with me.

Yet another work of art.
You succeed in saying much with little, and you say it very well. It is a fantastic little bit of wisdom.
Great job.

'If I should die before I wake.....'

I must admit I never have this thought when I go to sleep, even though thoughts of death occur more frequently as we age.
