Oh Brooke, this picture is just so precious! What a gentleman holding an umbrella for his true love, Chloe! His mother is teaching him well, lol. BTW, it's so much easier to give kisses this way, and hide them from others. Wow, you did a great job on this poetry form, and I'm sure it wasn't that easy. I love the wording very much, and truly wish you the best of luck in this contest. I would be quite surprised if I don't see a win on this. . .Sharon one. . .Sharon

Sharon, thank you so much :-) Miranda says she watched Chloe lower the umbrella a couple of feet, as if she had this intimate encounter all planned out. LOL :-) Brooke

When love is really true, it withstands all the upheavals and cannot be doubted. Your choice of words and
rhymes was lovely and most befitting the sentiments of the poem. Most enjoyable and good luck in the contest. Faye

I really like what you have done with the Pantoum Sonnet form, and you do it so eloquently. Looks like perfect iambic pentameter to me. The thoughts flow well from one line to the next as you build upon the repeated lines. Best of luck in the contest.

What a precious poem this is. With the repeating lines of the Pantoum Sonnet you communicate both the strength and the fragility of this love - as well as the inevitability. "There is no other course I can pursue." Love, Jeanie

Hi Brooke,

This is another great poem. I doubt that I'd ever try to write a Pantoum Sonnet. I generally just write poetry from my heart. Anyway, the picture of Sawyer and his girlfriend fits the poem perfectly.

Hi Brooke,

A very nice pantoum I think and it carries your message beautifully. Another little bit of philosophy for Sawyer when he's old enough to appreciate it.

Good use of the sonnet rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with trust/to...what/withhold...course/can...not/nature/...be/bold...will/wither. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message. Best of luck in the contest.

Love just got the sake of it without expecting any return, a fragile love part of the design that cares enough to keep caring even if the object of that love slips away. Like the love of God for mankind.

The combination of these forms is a delightful poem to read and enjoy, Brooke. The power and emotion of your words, along with the rhyme and meter, was even more enjoyable during the second reading. I wish you best wishes in the contest.
Smiles,

The picture is really delightful! As it is the poem, in both Sonnet form and as a Pantoum. I love the beautiful message. Good Luck in the contest.
Great job Brooke!
