So simple, such a joy. I love all
poetry whether formal or unconstrained
by rules and format. I also enjoy
repetitiveness as long as it serves
the purpose. Nice picture to compliment.
I do like to see a picture!! Eric

"As fragile is the love I trust to you, there is no other course I can pursue" a lovely poem that tells of the love is blind and never assigned, love is just because.

Hello Brooke,
I loved your repeating lines in this tender write of love and its consequences. I was struck by these two thoughts, "There is no other course I can pursue" and "I can't refuse to follow love's design". Those statements say everything to me, for to do otherwise, would be to consign oneself to a life of loneliness. Love, is indeed, a fragile gift we give to another in hopes of reciprocation.
Nice work with this thought... and best of luck with your entry, Bill

You've mastered another form in this pantoum, Brooke. The structure and meter work well, the sentiment in the message is a real truism of relationships, and I got a real sense of sincerity from the reeled lines like:I still entrust what I cannot withhold. Well done.

'As Fragile is the Love' is an extremely well-written and heart-warming piece. True love is blessed by God. It was a pleasure to review this talented poet's work.

I enjoy writing a Pantoum however flawed it may be. When the repeated line slips neatly into place, it can be magic. Is the earnestness of our poet driven by the polish of her phrases or by the seductive seriousness of her subject matter. How does one define love. Is there something eternal about it, or is it something as fragile and as transforming as life itself. I look forward to a sequel.

Best wishes for your pantaloons entry; lovely words that tell a story of two hearts beating together through all kinds of weather. I did enjoy this poem - let us hope that the two little people remain good friends for a very long time. Well done nana. Congratulations on your win!!

Again, with the misleading picture ;-)
(which seriously belies the grown-up nature of this piece)
for hearts will wither if they're not consigned,
I can't refuse to follow love's design
and I would surely die if you were gone.
poetically structured - or simply a declaration
these words speak volumes about the nature of bonded love.
Very nicely done - I wish I had been a little thriftier with my sixes this week :-(
