This is great fun to sing. I see a group of kids starting out slow and they keep singing faster and faster and dancing faster and faster till they all drop in a heap! Yeah, of course I join them! mikey

Beautifully written Brooke! Nice rhyming couplets with good alliteration. I love the American accent that comes through in this (over here in the UK we love your accent!). This is a fun poem and just the right size for its expression. Thanks for sharing! Christine :)

Christine, thank you so much :-) I am a sucker for Brit accents, and Irish, and Scottish, and Australian. LOL I appreciate your generous sixth star :-) Brooke

It is amazing what vibes can be set in motion by a happy child just jivin' to the tune of life. (Or music's pulsing beat)
I really enjoyed the cadence of this lighthearted poem as it flowed in perfect rhyming couplets.
Sadly, though my feet still long to dance, pain is a hindrance and deterrent.

Lol, oh Brooke this picture of Nora's hair standing straight up really made me laugh! You are something, talking like they do today, like jivin', jammin', feelin', jumpin', thinkin', and dancin'. But yet, you mention the jitterbug beat which was back in our days, lolol!!! Hey girl, I don't even think they know what it is! Way too funny, and I enjoyed. . .Sharon

Dear Brooke,

A lot of j alliteration. For dancing uplifts the soul, it brings happiness and fills one with joy. So just jump right in, don't hesitate, and let your feet step away.

Warm regards,

Winslow

What a fun group of sounds to jump 'n jive to :-)
from the juh, juh, juhs to the ka, ka kas
with the back beat sound of the esses and tees
. . .but mostly the sound of joy's unchained rapture :-)

This poem paints a picture of the emotion, "joy" at the extent it is running over. This I think is most often experienced in childhood. the rhyme and meter are smooth and snappy to match the mood of the message.

Hi Brooke,

This is another cute and nicely written poem. The little five year old Nora is cute and it's amazing to see her hair like it is. Miranda sure knows how to take pictures well.

A very cute poem. Short, but clear and to the point. Love that this is light-hearted. Your words flowed well and the pic is very cute with it. Love that the pic has motion as the song is about dancing.
