Consider:
I'm feelin' the pulse of a jitterbug DIN
that's pulled me to jumpin' right outta my SKIN
Loved the 'beat' of the piece and the wonderful pic. If we did that, they'd lock us up in the looney bin unless it was mardi gras in New Orleans.

I love it! I love feeling carefree and I missed doing things without restrictions: dancing under the rain... running along the shore etc. etc. Sometimes we need to release inner tensions by just doing child-like things... c", Mae

Excellent use of alliteration all the way through (The "J" words you've used)The rhyme is fun and bouncy.Makes you want to dance right along with it.

LOve the alliteration of "J's" - what terrific words!
Great rhythm to your rhyming couplets.
A joyful piece that conveys the exuberance of the
young! thanks for sharing her picture too. Nancy

This is a fun, carefree poem about simple joy. Happiness spilling out of someone until they just have to move and let the world see their enjoyment of the moment.

Add a chorus to this and you'd have a good song. You always write such upbeat poetic thoughts. This one I really could see as a song. With a good bass beat and some rhythm guitar, with a couple more instruments this song would go far. This was just an enjoyable piece of poetic art to have read and written this response for... John

Your usual neat, tidy write, Brooke, I love this photo of this child enjoying both the joy of life and also the lovely long hair! Nicely structured poem, good aabb rhyme scheme, even meter! Well done. Roy.

Brooke: lively poem that got me moving to music only I could hear (probably that jitterbug beat). Dancing does bring joy and a certain freedom of expression, and, some giggles with those jiggles! Fun read. Linda

Maureen, thank you so much - heck, the world is more and more depressing each time I turn on the news - I figure we all need a joy break :-) Brooke

Yes I agree and the weather here is keeping me in migraines so the extra smiles were so much appreciated.
Have a great weekend.
