Linda, thank you so much. I tell Miranda all the time about the praise for her photos. I do hope she believes me as I don't think she realizes how talented she truly is :-) Brooke

Lovely poem building small steps into the great distances expressed in life. Raindrops are life's sustenance and Sawyer moves along is a steady fashion of growth.

Another top-notch motivational poem that explains how we must get off our duffs and strive to reach our goals.
'A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single footstep'
The poem reaches out with the lesson that to get to where we want to be, we must do something - no matter how insignificant it may be. Stringing enough somethings together gets us closer to our ideal.

Ah, look at the Cute Little One strolling on the beach. I wish I can go for a stroll on the beach, but unfortunately the ocean is far away. This is another excellently written piece.

Thank you so much, CR. I envy Sawyer's home near the beach too - in the summer they can go every week :-) Brooke

Amen. All success results from taking a series of steps and always begins with the first step. The plan is a step, the
procedures is a step, and the final product is a step. I love the photo, the imagery, flow, and choice of words. Message is well-expressed.

Again you have written a wonderful poem giving sage advice to young readers, Brooke.
A journey always begins with a dream and then a step.
Good simile in stanza 2 reminding us how memories are like drops of rain that helped build the sea.
Excellent enjambment of lines in every stanza and the ABCB rhyme scheme works perfectly in this one. Rod

How wonderfully true this is. A step is not a journey. But a journey is a puzzle; each step assembles the pieces of the path and every thought assembles the sky.

No one will ever move forward unless they take that first step. I loved reading your poem. The rhythm was great as was the rhyming scheme. Not to mention that wonderful grandson.
