Sawyer is getting a well adjusted and a warm and loving childhood. He is going to grow up to be a kind and loving man naturally. I believe children are what they are brought up like. No problems ahead for this little lad. I thought for a moment, the little girl was Chloe, but Nora looks to be the one to be in Sawyers heart today. Your poem, Brooke, is perfect for this photo. Inspiration? You will never be stuck for that. Lovely! xsx Sandra

Sandra, thank you so much :-) Chloe is his girlfriend, the same age as he is. Nora is his honorary big sister. :-) Brooke

Touching poem Brooke. So sweet!
The rhyme used is flawless and the poem flows well.
Nice structure used by repeating hand in hand in each second and third line of the stanzas. Very nicely done!
Kind regards
Sarah

Brooke: awwwwwww. Reading your words and looking at the picture makes a grandma's heart weep with tenderness. It makes all the bad things in our world disappear for a few minutes. Linda

I love your rhyming couplets they are excellent! This is a sweet write of your Grandson and his sweet friend. Girls like to hold hands with their friends at this age my grandson and friend are the same way. It is so cute! Thanks for sharing.

That picture is so sweet! It sets a great mood for a poem. You delivered the poem beautifully. I like that the grass gets greener because they are together. None of that envy stuff for the greener grass elsewhere :)

Joy, thank you so much, my friend. I just love the love these two have between them. She fell in love with him many months before he was born. She waited for him impatiently and since then has loved him fiercely. I appreciate your generous sixth star :-) Brooke

This is a beautiful picture and the poem does it justice. This is a fantastic snapshot of the love between brother and sister. This is much better than sibling rivalry any day of the week.

This has an interesting side note, Brooke. The idea that we, and our individual 'harmonics' influence the other living things around us. Maybe that isn't even a side note, but the entire symphony.
You've got to wonder how toxic negativity can be.
This is a side note: Michelle Shocked kind of summed things up when she sang, 'The grass is always greener on the greener side.'
Peace, Lee

Hello Brooke,
Wonderful thought and sentiment expressed through this tender write. It is such a blessing to have a good friend in which to enjoy life. I feel the same way about my wife. Loved the shot of Nora and Sawyer... reminds me of something I read years ago, "Everything we need to know to navigate life is learned in kindergarten." Nice work... best wishes, Bill
