I love the "surprises happen every day" repeating line. I like the different examples you used from nature, and how you give it a wider relevance in your final stanza. Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing.

Indeed they do-surprises, whether good or bad are part of life.
A clever and thoughtful kyrielle poem.
The captured image is so captivating-child's play.
Perfect structure and a thoughtful repeating line.

Dear Brooke,
It's no surprise to me, my friend
That yet again a gem you've penned
In perfect rhyme and metre too
(But that's what we expect of you)
And I look forward every day
To sunshine conjured up your way.

This is a kind of poem that lifts my spirit up telling me that we have to look to things at different perspective. It's message is hope and I want to thank you for using your God-given talent in the most positive way! God bless us!

Brooke, Your poetic words for 'Surprise' are absolutely true. All types of surprises happen every day. When a baby is born, it's a surprise that is very hard to realize. "Out comes this perfect little formed human!" It's amazing! You work was thought provoking for me. Ha! Carole

i couldn't love this more Brooke. Every line sails smoothly as silk in this poem. This moves like a song with a repeating refrain in the last line in each stanza.
You've outdone yourself with this piece.
