Hi. Ah thanks. Yup, surprises. I am in a lull, I could use a good surprise ... I could use looking at the world this way, all the joy, the magic and those wee things that jump up and smile.

I always look to start my morning searching for you and Sawyer. Another goodie Brooke. Looks as if the father and son are having their moment. Blessings to you and the family.

A beautiful piece of writing that would appeal to young and old alike. That repeated line is confirmation of the poem's meaning and theme. It has certainly earned its awards. An enjoyable read - Pete

A perfect kyrielle.
The boy looks shockingly SURPRISED by the body-less head; the head mildly surprised by the full-bodied youngster.
While the author tells us mostly about the surprising changes in nature, man-made transformations are equally surprising.
How about a long-absent friend who is suddenly at your door and..."Wow! is that you...? You look fabulously different.
That's facial transformation for you.

Really like your caterpillar with feet of clay, humanity transforming into...butterflies (feet of clay obviously adding a deeper level). Have to tell you, from the photo, Andy in a sand cocoon, I was wondering what he would transform into lol.

The repetition helps the poem flow into the moral that life is full of surprises, don't let the bad outweigh the good. Ugly can become beautiful and loneliness can become love in a split second.
The picture shows the fun of surprises.
Keep writing

Perfection as always, Brooke. I'm restricted to one hand so I'll get straight to it, this is another gem for the collection :) Great work as usual and thanks as always for sharing.

Clear imagery with this one, Brooke, the sentiments speak for themselves, such is the wonder of nature and all its elements.
The little one continues to brighten up the screen.
Have a good day,
