It sure looks like you followed the description and made it into something significant. It seems like it would be difficult to end up with something solid all the way through with this kind of required set up. Nice poem.

Such a sweet and tender poem. I like the "wrapped" format, and it acts as a nice subtle parallel to the way a chorus in a song might work - which is appropriate image, considering music is the subject, here. I've been traveling on vacation, so I'm not sure if this contest is closed yet, or not. If not, I wish you luck!

my granddaughter has a selection of keyboards she plays with, and then she does fiddle with the real piano 9se is 20 months)

it is fun to watch them do their thing.

Great piece, by the way

Hi Brooke,

This has echoes of something from my 'folk singing' past, but can't recall if it is a Dylan or a Simon and Garfunkel - perhaps PPM?

Lovely rhythm and sentiment to it and a lovely message.

A thoughtfully constructed riff young man, but apparently NO ONE heard.
I bet Grandma did. LOL AND I bet she wrote about it! LMAO
Terrific verse mate, and although I wasn't expecting the longer lines, they rolled off the tongue perfectly to compliment and summarize your instrumental... BTW, the photo is priceless...you could be the NEXT Bon Jovi, little man...keep on strumming!

Thanks so much, Phillippa. Right now he is aspiring to be the next Tom Petty - he gets very excited when Free Fallin' comes on and sings along :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke,

What an interesting poetry form this is. I think it would lend itself to music very nicely. I love the subtlety of this love poem.

Hugs,
Lou

A refrain of love, no doubt, and what was the song in which none listened? sometimes rhetorical questions need no answer as they state the obvious. The song sung, listen to and reciprocated. What more could one ask for in life? Especially if it is repeated by someone special.
Best wishes, Brooke.

Two very good stanzas - perfect wrapped refrains and the content of the first stanza so appropriate, along with the perfect picture. Good Luck in the contest Regards Dorothy
