The word in the acrostic is something that more people need to adhere to. The body of thoughts reflect the acrostic really well. I liked the thoughts in this piece of writing as they are so very true. I enjoyed reading this excellent piece of poetic parlance... John

All are superb advice on how to maintain 'perseverance' One must have faith, or hope in themselves to carry on. My favorite:

This is a great acrostic. The enjambment allows a smooth shift to the next line, without giving it that staccato effect so often seen in this form. I can't agree more with your author remarks. when we compromise ourselves either by people pleasing, or in the name of keeping the peace, or whatever, we lose our integrity.

I hope so, Shari. The only contests I've managed to win when the committee has voted is horror contests. I've yet to win one for poetry, but it isn't for lack of effort, LOL.
