A taut suspense horror story that put me through an emotional roller coaster. I was expecting one ending and you surprised me with something else. The ending was tender and tragic at the same time ,and will stick in my head for quite a while.

Not my cuppa tea at all but I couldn't drag myself away from it. You had me captured from first to last word, I am an old gal who likes light and breezy and happy endings. I knew there was a reason I was scared of swimming pools and such and I will sleep with a night-light on tonight. Thanks for the read - I think - Dinah

Good clear dialogue that reveal the emotions of the characters. More emotion from officer Harvey as Sergeant Baker said she believed the boy. Good transition between events. Nice, steady pace leading to a conclusion filled with smiles.

'The boy skipped swimming lessons and got caught, (simple as') I would write 'it's as simple as that'
'Maybe this is just his of() dealing with it, maybe this Elliott, who took him there is the monster." Insert (way)
great story good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing
