I am very glad I still had one six star rating left for this week. Exceptional Sonnet and a perfect contest entry. Beautiful flow of words and simply gorgeous picture. Best of luck in the contest.

Tony, this is a beautiful and haunting piece, well-suited to the pantoum sonnet form.

It has a romantic, slightly mournful feel to it - lovers forced to be apart, portrayed in the simultaneous beauty and loneliness of sea and stars.

I liked this image in particular:
Such sea-glass stars have twins set in the sky

Good luck in this tough contest.

Steve

Beautifully written piece. I love how you refer to the stars as sea glass. I love the introduction of the Pantourn Sonnet. I felt the mood in the piece and the sadness in time passing. Thank you for sharing.

So beautiful! The tranquility of the deep blue sea at night as the stars above dazzle upon it's surface as the night shifts into daybreak. Very nice and thanks for the share!

I loved reading your poem Tony because it was an amazing romantic, chimerical and passionate piece of poetry that shows your inventiveness and creativeness in writing this type of sonnet. As the picture does displaying complement your home your words and your imagery does complement your picture. In your imagery and makes one feel this sway of the ocean waves in the glistening wave tops of the sea. Thank you for sharing them posting this for everyone and may the sun always shine on your shoulders for you to be able to write as fast as you can think.

This is truly both melancholic and celebratory at the same time. The imagery of stars, shining like each human soul, reflecting/dancing on the sea of earthbound life. . .mirrored in the infinity. The inescapable knowledge that time is short, and no matter how deep our love, sooner or later we will be parted. . .hopefully to be rejoined in the afterlife. Just gorgeous!
