Wow what a scary dream, and a scary poem. Good word flow and rhyming, as you tell of this terrible dream. I personally don't believe dreams mean much at all, maybe a guilty conscience, but not sure of that either.

An intriguing dream, Dean. The only thing that's unclear to me is the white dove. Was that part of the dream (and the interpretation), or was it a waking experience? If the latter, then it sounds like a spiritual extension, more prophetic in nature.

Your poem is a delight. No spag I could find.

Good luck with your inquiry.

Interesting word choices. Maybe your writing is scaring you to death. L0L The white dove is telling you the universe is indifferent. Cold. You are letting your fears (based on the negative happenings in the world) create a dark environment. THe rider on the horse is most likely Obama. :-) Loved the imagery and pictures.

If you want to message back and forth as pm we can.

Dreams have often plagued me. Ones that most would pass off as nothing.

But every one of them has been prophetic...and, gulp...true.

Your poem grasps hard. So eerie.

And as always, awesome work!

p.s. something is amiss...seriously

Dean, first the tiny edit - "porch's" << apostrophe for possession

Now, I hesitate VERY strongly to attempt any interpretation of this dream (although I suspect you have some ideas). I also suggest you leave off the pizza before bed - (kidding). I WILL however, RAVE about the masterful way you've related your dream. FABULOUS!

And now, very seriously, take my 5-7-5 posted tonight with a LARGE grain of salt...(yikes). Another friend has told me there is a shower expected tomorrow morning; between the two of you, I doubt I'll sleep tonight...

Truly excellent poem, as usual. I have an idea that because of some of your writing, which does not leave your mind after you have finished with it, has affected your dreams because of the deep dark writing you have used here on fanstory. I may be wrong, but anything that ever goes into our brains never leaves, even if we don't consciously remember. I do love the dove who came to you when you awoke.
Don't worry.....it will all go away into your subconscious, which we must all live with. Be happy, Joan

The dove symbolizes the virtuous, loving, and beloved woman who sticks to her man. It also alludes to the messenger, the letter, and the unexpected or the urgent information. According to legend, it was blessed by Noah after he was disappointed by a crow.

God Bless You

Maybe it is a warning for mankind to change their ways. Maybe it is saying evil has taken over this word and all that is good is dying. It sounds like the book of Revelations. It is a scary dream. I hate warning dreams. I used to get them but I asked God to take them away. I couldn't interpret them. He did relieve me of the burden. This was very profound. Dean. xx Nancy

Dean

You have done it again what an amazing poem and presentation of pictures.

I'm no way an expert how to analyze dreams
Here are my thoughts.

Dreams about black birds and you are the leader of the flock often come to people who are full of unwanted horror ideas about things not excepted to be around them .

And the white dove to me represents you find peace within yourself when you write poems or stories and let your thoughts of horror go Free.

Gert
