I stumbled on your articulate, well written poem, which tended to sound like an excerpt from a Stephen King novel, but the key is the pale rider of revelation, which book is not my area of theological expertise! I might show your poem to someone who might know if that's OK! The birds darkening the sky sounds a little like the raven which is associated with the mythical dark arts! Well written Dean, eloquently described! With your permission. Blessings, Roy.

Certainly, Roy, you have my permission to show it to them, by all means. I really appreciate your opinions and viewpoints on this. Sorry for the late reply, I am so far behind!

My Brother, As I was reading your posting I began to think you had your esgatolgy mixed up - that you were putting the Great Tribulation ahead of the rapture; you knpw the "pall horse and hords of evil birds. I was expectig you to talk about the other three horses and..... well even that didn't make any Biblical sence to me.

Have you been reading the Revelations of Apostle John
recently? Personally I do not believe deeams today hae any paticular signifiance as in the days of Jacob & Daniel. I think we deram today as a result of something we have been thinkng strongly about and our suvconcience brain kicks in as we sleep. Bcause w are aslep and hav e no conrol of th SC brfain it goes all over th map of the intellecti throwing all our thought [and conversatios]of the day, week or even years to together, so many of our dreams are so scrambled up
they make absolutly no sence at all.

I have reaquring drams of leading a song service in one particular church I once Pastored, but the congrgation is akways in the thouands and I cannot find the page number; than it swiches to my preaching, but I am alwsays looking through my reprtar of serman just moments before I'm suppose to preach.

Well looks like I got a little long in this reply Please over look my erros as even thw spell check doesn't know wha wod I'm rying to spell.

Your Brother and Friend,
Jerry

Thanks for giving me your thoughts and opinions on this dream, Jerry. I have been doing a great deal of research for my apocalyptic story, The Chronos Bug lately, and in hindsight, I feel that's probably the cause for this particular dream. But, that dove, my friend -- with its black, doll-like eyes looking on without the least bit of compassion -- that is what terrified me the most about the dream. It was almost as if the dove were saying that all peace and hope had died...

Fantastic drama you've crafted into this piece. It compels the reader to stay focused and drawn to its every word. The coldness, the blackness...such wonderful feelings prompted. I admire your work on this very much.

Hi Dean:)
Could this dream of yours be simply the antithesis of too much Poe with ravens (onyx clad birds) blacking out your sky. Thus the translation of 'nevermore' signifying mankind is never coming back.

Then the strange dove appears as a symbol of hope for 'evermore.) In truth, one negates the other. in the end signifying nothing as your groggy nrain works overtime to find a meaning that never will exist.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Roger

Dean, a lot of this if from the book of Revelations, when God returns in the clouds with the angels around him and the trumpets playing. But, what is confusing is that you speak as if the devil will be there also, and we know that he will be sent to hell forever more. It will darken, and the earth will be cleansed by fire. And then a new earth will come down and become the Heaven as we know it to be now. Wow, your thoughts seem to keep the devil here during this time, but we know that won't happen. Are you afraid of something, or confused about the scriptures? Have you read Isaiah? When you say mankind is not coming back, that is correct, because we won't be human anymore. Is there something bothering you about all of the saved being in Heaven? It's very late here, so I won't continue, but please PM me, if you want to. You seem to be confused about what the Bible is trying to tell you, but forgive me if I'm wrong. . .Sharon

What a great title Dean, for something surely is amiss.
You're scaring the crap out of yourself before you scare your readers.
Now that must be nigh on a miracle. Lol.
I suggest you sleep with one eye open, your eyes and ears pealed because it may be your time to experience pleasant screams.
How'd I go? Are you scared s---less?

Mankind is never coming back. << No question why that is! What a waste of a superior brain. Very few bother to use it. I still say, give it to horses. Even dogs could do better.

Dreaming of birds... here ya go:

Dreams about birds often come to people who are full of thoughts, whether they are troubling or jubilant.

Birds in dreams are symbols for transcendence and liberation. Escaping boundaries and limitations. A symbol for progress towards wholeness and harmony. They are your goals, aspirations, and hopes.

To dream of a white bird represents a wish to transcend or rise above a negative situation.

Black birds are not positive symbols.

A dream where a bird is dead or dying usually means that a thought, goal or aspiration has died. To see dead or dying birds represent disappointment and failures.

Grandpa always said it was the calm before the storm so beware of your surroundings and what you do with it. Horses represent mystery in one's life and the man in black is not a good sign at all it represents sickness. The black birds swarming is the messenger which is overdue by the dove of peace. You have been spared from the grim reaper once again. Take care my friend and may God walk with you to keep you safe

This is yet another dark and brooding piece of writing that the author has created with this piece of writing. I could see the Alfred Hitchcock influence in this one with the birds and the dark setting. This is unsettling and could be a portent of what is to come. Well done again.
