Okay, I can't pretend to know what's going on...lol. As usual, I loved the snappy dialogue and plot. We finally are a little settled, so I hope I'll have time to go back and read from the beginning. I so love Lenny and Jim. Great, as usual!

JJ! Good grief, I thought the gypsies got ya! So glad to hear all is coming together. Is Rob enjoying his new job? And you?

And lookee there, a sixer, my dear friend, thank you so much. Really appreciate it and you.

I like the photo on this chapter. Visuals always help. :-)

Hhhmmm, what a sinister mind you have, bwahahahaha. I'd never thought of using a blowgun. Genius!

Now, I'm on the edge of my seat wondering if it will work or will it hit a passerby running along the road. LOL

Great writing as always. I sure hope that they post your next chapter to me because for some reason I don't get them all.

Keep going girl. :-D

Hey Becca, I thought you were on my fan list! You should be getting PMs.

I love the visuals, too, and agree that they make things and people clearer.

    Hugs and thanks,

Gayle you wrap this nicely, bringing in jungle combat implements, boomerangs and poison darts! Blow gun! How do you come up with all this spooky stuff? Hats off to you my friend. Too good a way to get rid of Hamid. Enjoyed reading all this.
Cheers
Sylvia

Hi Sylvia, thanks for the great comments and the sixer. You wouldn't believe all the research I have to do to sound realistic. Not exactly on first name basis with a blow gun, lol. Brad's been around, though, so he has lots of tricks.

    Buckle up!

Thanks again so much for the sixer and comments.

Holy dart game Batman! Where do you come up with these ideas? I think you must have some kind of evil streak inside you. I never expected a blow dart, of all weapons! It sure does make this interesting though. You've got a page turner here, Gayle. I flew through this chapter. I couldn't read the words fast enough to see what happened next. This was so good I never checked for spags - I just read for the sheer joy of it. Nicely done.

Hey Suz, this one was fun, wasn't it? I started a book a couple of years ago about a CIA spy and never got very far, except for all the 'spook' stuff. Fascinating when you think about it.

Thank you so much, I treasure your reviews, my friend,

Sounds like they are using poisonous frog venom to get rid of Hamid once and for all. It couldn't happen to a nicer person. Thanks for another great chapter. :-)

Brad is really clever, and it's so nice to know that he will have backup there. Maybe Hamid will try to disguise someone as Julia's father, but that's a bit of a stretch. Love how you have laid out the plot - keeping your readers very interested. We'll see how this ends soon. My money is on Brad. LOL

Great action, Gayle. This is really getting exciting as we move to the climax. I think I'd want Brad in my corner, no matter the risks. Terrific chapter, my friend.

Hey Bev, thanks for the wonderful sixer. Really appreciate it. So, now we get to play around in MacArthur Park at one in the morning and see what pops up, lol.

I'm hard at work with this one, should be another chapter out tomorrow!

    Hugs and big thanks,

Oboy, Rex is in the wings! I'll be watching.

Gayle, this is a great chapter. Lots of easy serous/banter-dialogue between Brad and his colleagues, along with lots of nitty-gritty information supplied via their chatter.

I do appreciate the fine line you are managing to balance Brad & Julia upon in relation to the officers: vengeance and justice. You've set the scene for just about anything. I'm not offering a peep of any "maybe" for I fully expect an interesting surprise, one that I'd never anticipate.

Well done :-)

Hi Helen, I swear, this one was a ball to write. It's not coming to me as fast as usual, probably because it took a while for these characters to get going, but they're in the groove now.

If ever there was a place where you'd appreciate two or three Dobermans it'd be in MacArthur Park at one in the morning!

Thank you so much for the support and great comments.

    Hugs,

Oh my goodness, is that blow gun for real? I think they use something like that in the jungle somewhere in Africa, don't they? I love hearing about all the disguises and 'spooky shit.' At last I'm going to see some action with Rex... Can't wait. Gayle

Hey Gayle, unique, huh? No noise, no blood, just a whooshing sound and then boom. Far better than Hamid deserves, imho.

Gayle, I appreciate your support and comments and look forward to seeing you again soon,

    Hugs,

Big boy toys, dealing with death, will gain professionals every time. A new way for them to deliver death. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Oh, you had a problem with this one, Charlie! Can you point out where it needs improvement?

    Really would appreciate that,

Gail you will never get a legitimate four star from me. Although my left shoulder replacement was successful, I am still having trouble with motor control. I will update to a five star.

Oh sweetie, I hope the shoulder is better. Damn, this getting old sucks, doesn't it?

The shoulder surgery was successful. It is the motor control of my fingers that gives me trouble. It's far better to smell the roses than to feed the roots.
