Oh yes, I never thought of the magnanimity of our God that way. To forgive Hitler and kiss him on the cheek is the ultimate example of mercy and forgiveness and even Hitler can't help but shout, "My God, Amazing Grace". God is happier welcoming a sinner who repents, there is much rejoicing in heaven when a lost sheep is back. Thanks for sharing this exceptional poem.

This is yet another beautiful and interesting poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. I agree with you that the Nazis didn't create anti-semitism. It has been around for millennia. We must stamp out prejudice of all kinds and treat each other like the human beings we are.

Its interesting how things within a Christian world view shifted. I sometimes wonder if Hitler used the name of Christianity to extract his own purpose. I tend to enjoy the history in our country like Harry Truman who was taught as a lad in Sunday School that the Jews were Gods chosen people and later he was the leader who first declared statehood full filling a prophecy. There is something enchanting about how you took simple words created a colorful tapestry. It must be the rhyme scheme just has a splendid cadence.

It is not our job to forgive, it belongs to the only one with the ultimate authority and he doesn't discriminate. Though I think maybe some of these ruthless leaders, never make it to heaven to be assessed.
