Nice spiritual poem, and if we follow God we'll always find that path He intends us to walk. Especially liked these lines:
"For God has planted treasured gems,
where the naked eye can't view"
Sometimes it seems to take years and a lot of insight to see past hurts and grief and know where those gems lie.
Well done, as always.

Life, it would seem, is a series of vague platitudes. I don't mean to be rude - sorry if that's how it comes across - but what exactly is your poem saying? "Hold captive, find, when you are strong" (?)

I am a great believer in fate, also. I have faith and try to instil this faith in my children still, citing my own life as the example. You have made good choice of words and rhyme to convey your powerful message. Enjoyable read and rather super, pic. Faye

roy, this is exceptionally well written with engaging rhyme and meter. It is almost like a traveling beat which follows the them quite well. This promise, "For God has planted treasured gems, where the naked eye can't view", rings with such deep truth. Well constructed and delivered. :0 GracieAnn

An excellent poetic proclamation of faith in Christ and his purposes in our lives, Roy.
Your rhyming, meter and flow were spot-on, bulls-eye, my talented friend. The message you convey here is genuine and sincerely caring.
Well done!

is it suppose to be 'held captive' or did you deliberately put 'hold captive' there? "Your life is but a traveler's song,
from conception to the grave," this really is true, well how i feel at least, sometimes. I hope you find your glory or treasured gems my friend. Blessings!

Yes indeed our life is but a journey ' a traveller's song'under God 'God has planted treasured gems'- yet it can be so difficult sometimes to view it that way

A very profound message in your words.
I'm sure we are all following our own pre-destined paths. It is sometimes hard to understand why some things happen along the way, or where we end up at times too.
Beautiful picture to enhance your words. :) Jaq

I guess if we keep our eyes are on circumstance instead where we want to go. Our past shouldn't define our future! Thank you for your kind words and supportive review. Jaq, blessing, Roy.
