Hi Roy,
This is another beautiful poem that you've written. Thanks for putting up the wonderful scriptures too. I love to see them, as you well know.

Yes, our lives are but a traveler's song. They are brief and depending on the singer can be melodious, catchy, stimulating or stale.
And while we are on the road of life's travels we choose which paths to take, when to pause and rest, find directions and then plan to resume the journey. But how do we make comparisons to a lot of travelers who make a full stop in the middle of their travel? Some even make a full circle turn and go back. Are these the unproductive and passive lives?
Along the way, we bump into fellow travelers who seem to influence which direction we take.

Some things I can't answer! I do know however, that nothing is at an end until death! There is always hope in the land of the living! But thank you for your very thoughtful and generous review! Blessings, Roy.

I love this poem. The tone, the rhyme and rhythm. I like the citations too, which are some of my favorites: "a time to weep and a time to die...a time to laugh and a time to mourn..." My sincerest congratulations for poem that is well written. Dom

Hello Poet,
This was a pretty good effort. Your message of a hopeful future, through faith, is well stated, and your 8-7-8-7 meter is solid until the last line...should be an easy fix...take out the "the" so it reads, "Reap when seasons time is due." Hope this helps. Nice job with this inspirational write. Best Wishes, Bill

This is an excellent piece, nice use of rhythm and rhyme to deliver the message. I really enjoy images that appear to be seen through a kaleidoscope ...very cool!

I too believe we have an appointed destiny. We are just here on earth temporarily and those gems you speak of are our own little treasures here on earth. You are so right about the past, don't let it rear its ugly head and disrupt our dreams or our lives. God has a plan all you have to do is understand the blueprints. Terrie God Bless have a great weekend

royowen, I have always believed in destiny. One must determine through prayer to find their path set forth by our Creator. There are many who have chosen evil as the path they will travel
the path that I have been following has had a few trials and tribulations. I believe because of my strong faith in the Lord, He has guided me successfully through these obstacles.
You have composed a very thought provoking piece of poetry with a great message to read. Hopefully, someone may be saved by this writing,,,,,,,,Jim

Very nice and beautifully stated. Excellent rhyme scheme and rhythym. I love this line:
don't let the past's persuasive talk,
So true...a well penned exhortation.
Nicely done.

Great opening lines:
Your life is but a traveler's song,
from conception to the grave,
hold captive, find, when you are strong,
and seek where the Spirit craves!
Such a lovely lyrical write.
Hugs, d
