A beautifully soft and emotional poem, full of love and life. Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet. We are eyes wide open, others wear blinkers. It is a wonderful gift to be a child of God and every hair on your head is counted. I think this is the best of your poems that I have read - not stilted by information - free in speech and attractive to the reader. Blessed be. You could put it in the 'spiritual poetry' choice.

Aah, yes, those persuasive voices of the past can indeed hold sway over us sometimes, Roy, hmm. Nicely said there! Unfortunately though, as a piece of poetry, the rhythm is extremely irregular in places and the rhyme scheme threw me. You've written the first 2 verses in ABAB, though "B" is near rhyme, but still acceptable. However, the last verse suddenly jumps into ABBB, with 'view' exactly repeated twice, so it was a little jarring to my ear - sorry!

I have no idea how that happened it was supposed to be " hem " in the original! I have never repeated a one word rhyme in my life, like you it offends me, I'm just sorry that you think that I would! Thank you for your thoughtful review! Blessings, Roy,
