An intriguing exercise. Yes, I can see how you could interpret it the way you did. Not sure the value if gibberish translations, but an interesting exercise, nevertheless.

Hi, Sunni,
I fail to understand what we are trying to do here but the gibberish was very creative and I am sure you were following the writing prompt. I do not know enough about Romanian culture have an opinion about the poem.

I like the last translation from Goggle. destiny like the white sands sinking under the camel's feet perhaps. Dreaming of the oasis and the fresh sparkling fresh water only to find out that the water from the Red Sea is salty and cannot be drunk to our fulfillment in life.
Such is the paradox of destiny - when we thought we had it all and it turned out to be plain nothing...water that we cannot drink to quench our thirst!
Great translations and good work.
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie. :))

The translated poem does sound Romanian to me. It sounds like Middle Eastern nomad. But glad you liked it. It was a fun exercise. Thank you.
Have a good weekend. H&k, Alicia

Very interesting. Reading the original and yours. I think yours is better, due to the imagery and the unique way you phrase things. Especially like the ending:
"sin is for the dingos
art, soap and satan
heed..."
Superb! Les

A real princess.... That sounds like a wonderful honor. There are many Charles Brandon's on Wikipedia even an alias from The Tudors. Maybe your family and castle are on Wikipedia. Castles are dreamy. I think all girls at one time or another want and wish for a fairy tale. Peace be with you. And thank you :)
